Spooky Insurance

Alright, all my spooky friends and fellow insured. What insurance have you never thought you needed?

I’m talking weird stuff guys—real spooky, crazy stuff. We have all heard of people insuring their legs, hands, or other strange body parts, along with alien encounters. Okay, maybe we all haven’t heard of the last one, but they are all out there. With Halloween quickly approaching, we are going to hear all of the crazy stories, right? Alien abduction, zombie attacks, and vampires are now coming out of their coffins as the season kicks off. But have you ever thought about what would happen if you were abducted by an alien? What happens to your house when you become a zombie? Are we alive or dead if we become vampires? Okay, so maybe you can’t buy the zombie or vampire coverage, but what about alien abduction?

The good news is if you are looking for alien abduction insurance, according to Policy Genius, there is an insurance company based in Orlando, Florida that has you covered. You can pay about $20 to $25 per month for a reported $10,000,000 in coverage. You can purchase a policy online here: ufo2001.com. Is this policy necessary for you this season? We think not. Most places that offer alien abduction are not doing it for real insurance purposes. Most of this is a joke for people to get a good laugh, or it could be the perfect gift to those that believe in the extraterrestrial being.

What about ghosts? We haven’t had the chance to talk about this yet, but professional ghost hunters tend to carry around insurance in the event that a vase slips up and hits their client in the face. Yep, it’s a real thing and it’s called Professional Indemnity, Public Liability, and Medical Malpractice Insurance, which can cover for such issues that could arise during ghost hunting.

Most of these insurance policies might not be the most crucial for the average person, but it’s always fun to think about them and hear stories of people who get them.
